For treadmill users who are particular about the machine and want to keep it in top shape know that they have to pay attention to its maintenance, compared to some other machines its maintenance is fairly simple, cheap and doesn’t require an awful lot of effort, all you need to do is take care of the belt and motor and keep it oiled and you’ll have a perfectly working treadmill, an electrical fault can occur in any machine anytime and there is little that we can do about it but what depends on us is the regular maintenance and keeping the treadmill belt in its perfect position,

For a ProForm treadmill it is important for the belt to be tightened and centered correctly for it to perform perfectly, if the belt if off-centered then it can be damaged while use and if we continue to use it while it is off-centered then it might get damaged to an extent where it will require a significant repair cost as you might have to install a new belt altogether, for someone who is adjusting the treadmill belt for the first time can follow these steps,

  1. First of all unplug the power cord and pull out the safety key.
  2. Analyze the direction in which the belt has moved.
  3. Place the Allen wrench in the direction the belt has moved.
  4. The wrench is required to adjust the roller bolts which are at the back of the treadmill.
  5. Once direction is adjusted, you should then tighten or loosen it as required.

Once you have done this you can then lubricate the belts and check the treadmill at a slow pace before using it, for more details on how to do this perfectly you can log onto
